Applications for the Cushwa Center’s five research funding programs are due December 31, 2019. Grants and awards fund research in repositories at the University of Notre Dame and beyond. Research Travel Grants assist scholars visiting the Notre Dame Archives and Hesburgh Libraries. Peter R. D’Agostino Research Travel Grants support research in Roman archives for projects on U.S. Catholic history. Mother Theodore Guerin Research Travel Grants support research focused on Catholic women in modern history. Hesburgh Research Travel Grants support projects using the Theodore M. Hesburgh Papers and related collections at the Notre Dame Archives. Hibernian Research Awards provide travel funds for the scholarly study of Irish and Irish American history.
