The IHEAL announces the position opening for invited scholars felloowship for the 2020-2021 session. The call for application is openned until november 10th.


The candidate must be under 65-years-old at the begening of his contract with the IHEAL, hold a Ph.D degree (obtained at least 5 years ago), and be a teacher at the University level or a researcher at a foreign research organization.

The invitation is valid for a semester-long stay ( 4 months from September to December 2020 or 3 months from January to March 2021). Visiting scholars will receive a monthly salary which corresponds to a specific index for University professors in France.

Your missions will be to teach two courses per semester, each one consisting of 24 hours. Subject must be in line with you expertise's field. Knowing that the proposed courses might be modified according to the needs of IHEAL. Courses can be taught in French, Spanish or English.

The IHEAL receives applications in the following areas : History, Geography, Anthropology, Sociology, Economy and Political Science. For 2020-2021 session the commission will pay special attention to courses in Sociology, Gender Studieds or Urban Studies, or focused on Central America, the Caribbean and Mexico.
