The conference aims to provide redefinitions, historical contexts, significances, and/or consequences of riots, strikes, and conspiracies on local and global scales. All fields are welcome. The conference will be held on Friday, November 15th at California State University, Long Beach.

Submission Requirements:

The History Graduate Student Association encourages graduate students who study riots, strikes, and conspiracies across disciplines to submit 250-300 word abstracts and 50-75 word bios in pdf format to HGSA.CSULB@gmail.com with the subject “Conference Submission.” The paper you wish to present will need to examine riots, strikes, or conspiracies. We ask that you not submit any papers that do not fit within this theme. Your abstract should include your argument, methodology, theoretical underpinnings, historiography, and evidence (where applicable), and a sentence on how you understand your paper to fit into the theme of the conference. Your bios should include your name, research field, and any pertinent information (research interests, etc.) that you would like to be read when your conference panel is introduced.

All proposals are due by October 15th and those accepted will be informed by October 22nd.
