How do we practice »Worlding« in the crappy present? Between the wreckage of co-working spaces and Amazon’s social networks which create bacteria from data and facts from lies? Seeking super solidarities in the age of mass-mining micro-feelings.

Akademie Schloss Solitude calls fellow (post-)humans, cyberpunks, 3D scanner shamans, and tentacular artificial intelligences to join us in a game of worldbuilding: in a two-day session, from September 27 to 28, 2019, Stuttgart’s Werkstatthaus will transform into an experimental space with open conversations, film screenings, objects, a collective life-gaming tutorial, and a performance on rituals for cyberpunks.

The event is initiated by artist Sahej Rahal in collaboration with the artists Mitra Wakil (FabLab Munich) and Fabian Hesse (HFBK Hamburg, Digital/Material Workshop).

With contributions by: Matthias Böttger, architect, Berlin/Germany; Fabian Hesse, artist, HFBK Hamburg, Digital/Material Workshop, Berlin/Germany; Pallavi Paul, artist, New Delhi/India; Helen Pritchard, artist and lecturer in Computational and Digital Arts at Goldsmiths, University of London, London/Great Britain; Sahej Rahal, artist, Mumbai/India; Daniel Rourke, lecturer and co-convener of the MA in Digital Media at Goldsmiths, University of London, London/Great Britain; Mitra Wakil, artist, FabLab Munich, Munich/Germany

The event is initiated by Sahej Rahal in collaboration with Mitra Wakil and Fabian Hesse. Sahej Rahal is current fellow at Akademie Schloss Solitude in the field art, science & business/humanities. Mitra Wakil and Fabian Hesse were fellows from November, 2018 to February, 2019 in the framework of the »WimmelResearch-Fellowship« – a joint project between Robert Bosch GmbH, Akademie Schloss Solitude, and Wimmelforschung.

»Worlding« takes place within the program art, science & business and in cooperation with Werkstatthaus Stuttgart. The event will be held in English. Admission is free.

Per diem meal allowance incl. lunch, dinner, coffee, and beverages:
