Dear all,

we are pleased to announce the third workshop on 'Provenance Research on East Asian Art' that will take place in Berlin November 8-9, 2019 at the Museum für Asiatische Kunst (Staatliche Museen zu Berlin) and in cooperation with the University of Glasgow. 

The Keynote Lecture on Friday morning will be given by Prof. Nick Pearce (University of Glasgow) on 'A Nestorian Adventure or Misadventure: Frits Holm and the Chinese Nestorian Stele'. The five workshop panels include papers on 'Tracing Loot from the Yuanmingyuan', 'Effects of Looting', 'Collecting and Dealing with Chinese Porcelain', 'Negotiating East Asian Art in America' and 'Focus Korea'. Speakers come from France, Great Britain, Switzerland, the Netherlands, the United States and Germany. The international workshop part will be followed by a German Network Meeting that is open to international colleagues (and will be held in English).
