Presentation

Napoleon and Wellington. Two giants whose lifes ended intertwined by the wars between the French Empire and the European Coalitions. The difference between these two soldiers in ideologies, character and loyalties is enough to a confrontation by such individuals. However they have something in common to share: bravery, ethic, ambition, leadership and coincidentally their year of birth, an occasion that reaches its 250th anniversary this year. Taking advantage of such event, this conference, will pursue a confrontation between these figures, not of sword and musket, but of ideas and multiple approaches that can give new perspectives on the careers of these remarkable men and the battles they fought during the so-called Napoleonic Wars.
