UPDATE: NEW ABSTRACT SUBMISSION DEADLINE 27th SEPTEMBER

The conference “A Window onto Latin America: A 21st Century Resignification of the Never-ending Conquest” has extended the deadline for applications to the 27th of September 2019, in the University of York, England. We are calling all post-graduate students and early-career researchers working in topics related to the long-lasting consequences of colonialism and the current process of postcolonialism.

We are particularly interested – but not exclusively – in the transformation of Latin-American identities and the struggle to prevail in a westernized world, heavily influenced by European culture and cosmogony.

“A Window onto Latin America” is an interdisciplinary conference, that welcomes scholars from diverse disciplines within the Arts & Humanities. We would also like to invite scholars from Sciences and Social Sciences that would like to share how the epistemological differences affect their disciplines.

Applications should consist of Abstracts no longer than 250 words and a short bio, considering papers of no longer than 15 minutes. The original “Call for Papers” can be seen in this link, and a free registration can be done in this link.
