Keynote Speech: “Brexit, the UK, Hong Kong, China and the future”
Professor Danny Dorling, Oxford University

 

“Greater Bay Area,” “One Belt, One Road,” “Brexit,” “America First.” The last few years have witnessed increasing anxieties about global integration and national autonomy. The conference aims to encourage presentations and discussions on various aspects of these developments and the social divisions that surround them. In addition, we welcome submission of papers on the following (though not limited to) research topics:
• Civil society and social movements
• Class and social stratification
• Migration
• Gender and sexuality
• Marriage and family
• Work and employment
• Deviance and crime
• Health and well-being
• Youth and the elderly
• Religion
• Education
• The teaching of sociology

Papers are welcome from sociologists and colleagues in the social sciences. Participants can apply to:
a. present a paper
b. organize a panel
c. attend the conference
