The Government Department at St. Lawrence University invites applications for a tenure-track position in American Politics, pending budget approval. The successful candidate will teach in the area of Congress or race and ethnic politics. Additional areas of expertise are welcomed in the areas of public policy, state and local politics, or American political thought. The candidate will be prepared to teach courses in their area of expertise as well as an introductory course on American Politics. The position begins August 2020 and the teaching load is three courses per semester.  Strong ABD candidates in Political Science or related field required; candidates with a Ph.D. in Political Science or related field in-hand by August, 2020, preferred.
