CALL FOR BOOK REVIEWS
Synoptique: An Online Journal in Film and Moving Image Studies is seeking Book Reviews submissions for its 9.1 Issue- Animating LGBTQ+ Representations: Queering the Production of Movement.
Synoptique is a peer-reviewed journal that brings together research in film and media studies, visual culture and creative practice. Our Book Reviews section features critical engagements with leading scholarship in the field and its interdisciplinary crossovers and welcomes publication reviews from established and emerging scholars.
Reviews are typically in the 2000-word range. For sample reviews, please consult recent issues of the journal (https://synoptique.ca/).
If you are interested in reviewing a book listed below for the journal, please send an email including:
1) the book’s title
2) your affiliation
3) a brief description of your suitability for reviewing the book
4) a statement of impartiality and any potential conflicts of interest pertaining to the book you would like to review
