Call for Papers for Western Jewish Studies Association Conference, Las Vegas, March 29-30, 2020

Call for paper and panel proposals from all fields of Jewish Studies regardless of discipline, geographical focus, or time period.  The WJSA always devotes some panels to Jews in the American West, pedagogical issues in Jewish Studies, contemporary Jewish issues, and the anniversaries of major events, figures, or movements in Jewish culture, history, and religion.

Paper proposals should be no longer than one double-spaced typed page and should be submitted with a short CV that contains contact information.  Organizers of panels should submit a cover letter with an overview and title of the panel and the titles of each paper and presenter, his or her CV, and contact information.  Individuals wishing to chair a panel should submit their CV.  All interested scholars of Jewish Studies including graduate students are invited to submit proposals for papers and panels.  A limited number of partial conference stipends are available by separate application by graduate students and overseas scholars presenting at the conference.

The deadline for submission of proposals is November 15, 2019.  Proposals and inquiries should be emailed to Lawrence Baron at lbaron@sdsu.edu
