As a lead-up to Nashville's 250th anniversiary in 2029, Vanderbilt University Press is developing a new series designed to bridge the gap between what scholars and historians know about the city and what the public thinks it knows.
Because our ambition is to open up Nashville's history to its communities, each 10,000-20,000 word volume will consist of three parts.
1. A good story, expertly told
2. Historical data, actual facts, appropriate cultureal knowledge
3. Context that helps the reader understand the importance of your topic.
Submission guidelines and more in-depth information is available on our website.
