CALL FOR PAPERS & GUIDELINES FOR CONTRIBUTORS

The Department of General Studies is calling for articles for publication in RAINBOW: A MULTIDISCIPLINARY JOURNAL Volume 2, Number 1, 2019. Rainbow is a peer-reviewed Journal that promotes multi-disciplinary and interdisciplinary scholarship among scholars and researchers. Original articles and papers that have not been published or submitted for consideration for publication elsewhere are therefore invited from authors in the following areas:

  1. Social Sciences/Humanities
  2. Law and Education
  3. Natural, Engineering and Environmental Sciences
  4. Life and Agricultural Sciences                                                                                                                                                   

MANUSCRIPT SUBMISSION

To submit a manuscript to the Journal, all papers should be saved in a single file in Microsoft Word or RTF format to the Managing Editor via the following e-mails:rgsrainbowjournal@plapoly.edu.ng, rainbowjournal1@gmail.com or rainbowjournal1@yahoo.com, with “Rainbow Journal Submission” in the subject line.

MANUSCRIPT PREPARATION/FORMAT

Full length manuscripts for articles should be type-written in English Language (British spellings) on A-4 size paper with 12 font size of Times New Roman, not more than 4,000 words or 16 pages and doubled-spaced including referencing; while 1,500 words for reviews, technical notes and commentaries are also accepted. Rainbow accepts the use of the 6th Edition of American Psychological Association (APA) or the 7th Edition of the MLA referencing styles.

The paper should appear in the following sequence: Title page with name(s) of author(s), including institutional affiliation(s); Abstract, Key words, Introduction, Review of related literature, Methodology, Results and discussions, conclusion and recommendations, acknowledgement (for any funding/contributions), References and Appendices.

The Abstract (not more than 250 words with a maximum of 5 key words) should be concise and structured to reflect: Background, objectives, methodology, results and conclusion/recommendations.  

Papers should reach the Editorial Board on or before 16th August, 2019.

Note: Reviewed articles accepted for publication will attract a publication fee.
