Open Call for Editors (Call for Volunteers and Publications)
The Digital Humanities online magazine, The Digital Orientalist, is seeking to expand for the next academic year (September 2019-June 2020) and is, therefore, eagerly searching for several new editors and contributors. Ideally, candidates should be engaged in research pertaining to one of the following regions (although those with expertise in other areas will also be considered):
- Chinese Studies/Sinology.
- Indian Studies.
- Central Asian Studies or Mongolian Studies.
- Korean Studies.
- South East Asian Studies.
- Oceania or Pacific Island Studies.
- Persia or Iranian Studies.
The editorial positions, which are voluntary, will be particularly attractive to graduate students and early career researchers but are open to senior academics also. Editors will be expected to contribute 5-6 posts of 500-1000 words each between September 2019 and June 2020. We are also interested in receiving applications from guest contributors who would like to contribute 1 or 2 posts over the year. If you have something interesting to say and you wish to reach a global audience, then do not hesitate to get in contact by sending a CV to james@digitalorientalist.com.
