This is an open call to seek papers for an edited volume on REBALANCING ASIA: BELT AND ROAD INITIATIVE (BRI) AND INDO-PACIFIC STRATEGY (IPS) focusing mainly on the debates around the region on China’s ambitious BRI and IPS as a counter strategy. It will also analyse different aspects (such as Socio-political, economic, environmental, security, etc) of BRI and IPS. The broad sub-themes are (but not limited to):

  1. Chinese Perspective on BRI and US’s Perspective on IPS
  2. Geopolitical, Geostrategic and Geo-economic Factor
  3. BRI and IPS: Opportunities and Challenges
  4. BRI, IPS and the World Economy
  5. BRI, IPS and World Politics
  6. BRI and South Asia/ South East Asia (or experiences with each South Asian Countries/ South East Asian Countries)
  7. Debates on BRI vs IPS among South Asian and South East Asian Countries (Opportunities and Challenges on BRI and IPS)
  8. QUAD
  9. China’s Role in Indo-Pacific

The book will be jointly edited by Dr. Pramod Jaiswal and Dr Deepak Prakash Bhatt. The complete chapter has to be submitted before 14 October 2019 and the length of the paper should not exceed 5000 words. Please use citations; avoid footnotes and endnotes.
