Lacan Toronto is an active, enlarging group of “people interested in Lacan” in Toronto.  It is diverse, consisting of psychoanalysts, psychotherapists, counsellors, university professors, graduate students, people in business and people in retirement.  Some of its members did previous Lacan studies and personal analyses in other countries, some use Lacanian theory in their academic pursuits, and others began reading Lacan for the first time in the context of this group.

Dan Collins will present a series of five teaching seminars on Lacan’s Seminar XI, The Four Fundamental Concepts of Psychoanalysis, of which he is currently doing a new translation from the French. The times are from 1:30-3:00 on the following dates: October 22, November 5, November 19, December 3, December 17, 2017. They take place at the Toronto Psychoanalytic Society on the 2nd floor of the Deer Park Library at 40 St. Clair Ave. East, Toronto. There is no charge for these sessions. Distance attendance could be arranged.
