BOOK ON TRADITIONAL AFRICAN MUSIC: CALL FOR PAPERS
Prof. Claudius Olayemi Olaniyan has contributed immensely to the development of music scholarship and practice in Nigeria. As a productive teacher, he has mentored several musicologists and music educators. Besides, his activities in Association of Nigerian Musicologists have encouraged many colleagues. This great collosus will be retiring from active service this year. It is in recognition of the invaluable contributions of this dedicated scholar that a group of his mentees at Ibadan, Ogbomosho and Ife Schools proposes a Book of Reading titled THEORIES AND PRACTICES OF TRADITIONAL AFRICAN MUSIC to be published in his honour.
In view of this we call for well researched articles on any aspect of theories and practices of Traditional African Music or Neo-Tradtional African Music to be reviewed for publication.
All those supervised by Prof. Yemi Olaniyan at the Doctorate and Master's levels that are yet to be informed, should contact Rev. 'Femi Adedeji for further briefs.
All manuscripts including Abstracts with keywords, should be typed in Times New Roman 12 point, using APA 6th edition referencing style.
