Dear Colleagues,

We are excited to announce the launch of the VMG Research Awards – the first ever research grant scheme specifically for research into the social sciences and humanities applied to the veterinary sector.  The Awards aim to advance our understanding of contemporary management in the broadest sense – whether on reception or in the boardroom; teaching finance to vet students or CEOs, developing staff wellbeing or revolutionising practice marketing.  We’re keen to hear your ideas.

Research Awards of up to £2,000 are available to those working in academia, industry or clinical practice; either individually or in small research teams.  One small award is reserved for an undergraduate student; so if you are supervising in a relevant field, please consider encouraging your tutees to apply.  We would be grateful if you would share this call with any colleagues working in related fields who may be interested.

As this is a new venture for the VMG, we’re very happy to answer any questions you may have; and we’re excited to receive proposals for inspirational research that will help develop the evidence base for excellence in veterinary management.  The deadline for initial proposals is Friday 19th July; with all details including application form and guidance notes available on the VMG website:

We look forward to hearing from you!
