Scholars, Teachers and Students of World History:

It is our pleasure to announce the call for papers for the 31st annual meeting of SEWHA, the Southeast World History Association, a WHA regional affiliate. This year’s conference will take place at the T.R.R. Cobb House in Athens, Georgia, on November 15-16, 2019. You may download the PDF version of the call for papers here.

We’re using this public historical space to explore a number of important themes this year, including questions surrounding worldwide nationalism, slavery and its global implications, as well as the intersections between public history and the history of the world. As usual, SEWHA's conference is also open to panels and papers on any aspect of world history and can be an especially friendly conference for graduate students and junior scholars.

The deadline for submissions is August 2, 2019. Please send submissions and correspondence to doug.sofer@maryvillecollege.edu. Updates and any additional information about the conference will be posted to SEWHA's website at http://sewha.org/conference.

We hope to see you there.

Sincerely,

Doug O. Sofer, PhD
