Call for Participation: Ethical, Legal, and Social Implications for Learning Health Systems

The ELSI-LHS symposium is an interdisciplinary event that provides an opportunity for collaboration and learning among colleagues with diverse perspectives on ELSI-LHS, including technical infrastructure, informatics, medicine, public health, community engagement, law, ethics, and social science. The theme of the 2019 ELSI-LHS symposium is Precision Medicine and Learning Health Systems.

Selected presentations will be organized into four symposium sessions on November 6 and 7, 2019. The session topics are as follows:

1. Ethics and Equity

2. Reports from the Field

3. Innovation and Research

4. Future Directions for Precision Medicine and ELSI-LHS

Presenters will have approximately 15 minutes to present their work. Presentations should address topics including the implementation of LHS, precision medicine, and/or the ethical, legal, and social implications of LHS and precision medicine.
