BSides Tallahassee 2020 Security Conference
BSides returns to Tallahassee on January 11th, 2020!
Our event is expanding with a larger venue through the Tallahassee Community College.
Hosted by the Capital City Cyber Defense Network, 501c3.
BSides Tallahassee is looking for presenters that wish to discuss and present on topics related to human interaction in a changing and insecure world. Some of the most interesting and best-received talks from our 2019 event were those that covered social engineering, human adaptation to technology and connections, and how to create a better-informed population. If you would like to present on topics such as:
- government adoption of technology
- journalism challenges in the age of social media
- the interactions and complicated intersections of science, technology, and society
then we would love to feature your talk. The selection committee is especially interested in research and presentations that investigate how recent advancements in technology are changing the ways people interact in their daily lives. We're also looking for presentations that focus on how to better educate a populace and fight misinformation being spread in today's digital world ahead of the 2020 election. Our attendees include students, IT professionals, and Government security and IT leaders that come from a more technical background and are looking for ways to better understand human interactions with technology and security.
All speakers receive a conference T-Shirt, lunch, and a free guest pass.
Even if you've never presented before, come give it a try with a friendly, eager crowd of attendees at BSides Tallahassee! The speaker selection committee is accepting and reviewing submissions on a rolling basis, so all slots may be filled long before the submission deadline. Submit early to make sure you can get in! Submissions must be received by October 31st, 2019 to be considered for the 2020 conference.
