The deadline for Mellon Scholars Summer Internship and Workshop Program applications has been extended to March 15, 2019. All undergraduates and master students with an interest in African American history pre 19th century are encouraged to apply. About the Program:

The Mellon Scholars Internship Program (June 3 through June 30, 2019). Interns will be rising seniors or recent college graduates and will receive a $1,500 stipend and additional support for travel and housing. Application deadline: March 15, 2019, with a decision to be made by April 15.

The Mellon Scholars Summer Workshop (June 17 through June 23, 2019) is a one-week professional development program. Workshop participants will be students in their first year of graduate study in an MA program or advanced undergraduates. Participants will receive a $500 stipend and additional support for travel and housing. Application deadline: March 15, 2019, with a decision to be made by April 15.
