One-year visiting assistant professor appointment in Renaissance and Baroque art history, at the rank of Assistant Professor, beginning August 2019. Expertise in Renaissance (North or South) is preferred. Responsibilities: Teaching both undergraduate courses and graduate seminars in Renaissance and Baroque art, as well as undergraduate course in World Art II (Medieval to present). Faculty in art history combine a 3-2 teaching load with assigned advising or committee work, and participation on appropriate MA thesis committees. Duties include assisting existing professors with online course development. All faculty are expected to remain active in research and publication.  Required Qualifications: The PhD must be in hand by August 2019. Teaching experience at the university level is desired. We are particularly interested in candidates who can add to the diversity and excellence of the academic community through their teaching, research, and service. Candidates whose courses explore inter-cultural encounters and how European art engaged global networks of movement and exchange are of special interest.
