THE MUNSON INSTITUTE @ MYSTIC SEAPORT MUSEUM

 

Announces two scholarship tracks for five weeks of residency and six transferable graduate credits through the University of Connecticut. 

Recipients of the Cora Mallory Munson Scholarship will be registered for two courses:

“American Maritime History” a foundational survey

and

“Maritime Studies Seminar” with advanced readings and classroom discussion

or

Winners of the Paul Cuffe Memorial Grants promoting research into race & ethnicity in maritime America, will be registered for two courses:

“American Maritime History” a foundational survey

and

“Independent Research” through which they complete their work on race or ethnicity

 

Learning will be enhanced by field seminars, the museum’s waterfront campus and its unique research resources.  Full financial aid and on-campus housing available.
