The Vietnam War
The Texas Christian University Department of History is pleased to announce the 2019 LCpl. Benjamin W. Schmidt Symposium on War, Conflict, and Society, to be held March 22-23, 2019. This year's symposium focuses on the Vietnam War and features nine of the nation's leading scholars of the war.
James Wright, author of Enduring Vietnam, will give the keynote address on Friday evening at 7:00.
Saturday's symposium panels begin at 8:15 AM and feature historians Christian G. Appy, Pierre Asselin, Beth Bailey, Gregory A. Daddis, Mark Atwood Lawrence, Edwin A. Martini, Lorena Oropeza, and Sandra Scanlon.
All events are free and open to the public, but registration is appreciated.
