The application for the 9th Institute for World Literature that meets at Harvard between July 1 and July 25, 2019 is now open through February 1, 2019

We are planning for a hundred and fifty participants, and we’ve assembled an excellent group of faculty to conduct the seminars and give guest lectures, including Thomas Claviez (University of Bern), Verena Conley (Harvard), David Damrosch (Harvard), Stefano Evangelista (Oxford), Ursula Heise (UCLA), Héctor Hoyos (Stanford), Dominique Jullien (UC Santa Barbara), B. Venkat Mani (University of Wisconsin-Madison),  Katharina Piechocki (Harvard), Gisèle Sapiro (EHESS & CNRS), Mariano Siskind (Harvard), Delia Ungureanu (University of Bucharest), Lawrence Venuti (Temple University), and Rebecca Walkowitz (Rutgers University).
