We want to thank the academic fraternity for the overwhelming response to the 19th Annual Africa Conference to be held at the University of Texas at Austin from March 29-31, 2019. The deadline for abstract submission for this year’s conference was December 15, 2018. We received more than five hundred abstracts for this year’s conference and we are really grateful to all the participants for their enthusiasm. All of you have ensured that the scale of the Africa Conference expands each year.

The Annual African conference at UT, Austin is one of the leading African Studies academic conferences in North America. Following the convention of the past, this year’s conference will also bring together academics, independent researchers, and policymakers from various parts of the world.

We are also happy to inform you that the theme for 20th Annual Africa Conference at UT, Austin is “Nationalisms.” We will soon publish the concept note of the 2020 conference on various academic platforms.

We look forward to see you all in Austin in March.
