Call for Book Chapters: Separatism and Regionalism in 21st Century Europe - A New Edited Volume

Logos Verlag Berlin - an independent publishing house located in Berlin, Germany, with a focus on academic texts: monographs, edited volumes, journals, dissertations, and conference proceedings is preparing a new edited volume under the title: Separatism and Regionalism in 21st Century Europe, edited by Dr. Chris Kostov.

This edited volume aims to give background information and allow a thorough evaluation and analysis of the various separatist and regionalist/autonomist movements in contemporary 21st century Europe. The book will deal with the entire scope of separatism and regionalism in Europe, which includes de facto states, such as Transnistria or North Cyprus, strong separatist movements aimed at achieving independence – e.g. Catalonia, Basque Country, Scotland, Flanders, Faroe Islands, strong movements aimed at more regional autonomy – e.g. Lombardy, Veneto, Brittany, etc. and weaker regional movements, which could potentially escalate in the future.

Interested contributors, particularly specialists in nationalism, separatism and regionalism are invited to submit before March 31, 2019 a chapter proposal of 500 to 1,000 words to ckostov@faculty.schiller.edu

Authors will be notified of acceptance by April 15th, 2019 and first full drafts of 8,000 to 14,000 words will be due by June 30, 2019.

Suggested topics include but are not limited to: Basque Country, Brittany, Catalonia, Chechnya, Corsica, Crimea, Donetsk People's Republic, Faroe Islands, Flanders, Kosovo, Lombardy, Luhansk People's Republic, North Cyprus, Republica Srpska in Bosnia&Herzegovina, Scotland, Tatarstan, Transnistria, Veneto.
