We are currently preparing issue n. 2 of the Close Encounters in War journal (open-acces, peer-reviewed journal), a special issue dedicated to the experience of displacement as a consequence of war and conflict, and titled "Close encounters, displacement and war".

In order to complete this special issue, we are looking for a scholarly article (6,000 words) which will analyse the experience of displacement from the perspective of the encounter, reaching beyond the study of military tactics and strategy and focusing on the way humab beings 'encounter' each other with and within the experience of displacement as a consequence of war.

1 February 2019: full article; 15 March 2019 peer-reviewers reports; 1 June 2019 revised article.
