I am interested in creating a panel to explore the diversity, successes, failures, and legacy of the woman suffrage movement in the U.S. and/or the Americas at the annual meeting of the OAH to be held in Washington, D.C., April 2-4, 2020. My own contribution would explore the feminist activism of Sophonisba Preston Breckinridge, a U.S.-based reformer who advocated for woman suffrage but opposed the Equal Rights Amendment. Deadline for submission is Feb. 1, 2019. If you are interested in participating as a panelist, chair, or commentator, please contact Anya Jabour at anya.jabour@umontana.edu by January 15, 2019.
