The Board Game Studies Colloquium is a platform aimed at bringing together game scholars from all fields, as well as independent researchers, curators, game inventors, collectors and enthusiasts from all around the world.

As indicated in the subtitle “Games on Board: Education, Tradition, Prospect” this year’s theme is on the intersections of games and education in all its aspects, covering the past, present and future. We welcome papers addressing topics related, but not limited, to the role of games in education, in teaching courses, social values, vices and virtues, religion, friendship, social and interpersonal bonds; in short, any aspect of games that carry an educational quality.
