Building on the experience of the First Workshop on the History of Science, which took place in June 2018 at the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru, and based on the advances of the recently formed Peruvian Association for the History of Science, Technology, and Health (AHPCTS in Spanish), it is our pleasure to hold a second workshop on the history of science, technology, and health in Peru. The workshop will take place at the National University of Engineering's UNI Center for History, an academic center that in recent years has carried out valuable and noteworthy research, publishing, and information-gathering activities on the history of engineering and technology.

The purpose of this meeting is to bring together and coordinate the efforts of foreign and Peruvian researchers. Along these lines, at the workshop a prize will be awarded for the best undergraduate and masters theses grounded in the topics of the Association. The workshop is open to professors and university students as well as professionals interested in the history of science in Peru. The principle language will be Spanish. Subsidies for travel, lodging, and per diem are not available, but we can suggest comfortable and safe hotels. Certificates will be distributed.

The members of the Organizing Committee for the event are José Ignacio López Soria, Nashely Lizarme, Marcos Cueto, Jorge Lossio y Patricia Palma.
