In Media Res - More Calls for Proposals for Fall 2018
In Media Res is still accepting proposals for its upcoming theme weeks in the Fall 2018 semester:http://mediacommons.org/imr/how-it-works

And, In Media Res is accepting proposals for a theme week entitled "Academia in Fan Spaces." The deadline for proposals is Friday, November 30. Here is a link to the call: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1-GUv2aKZZmkz1McQHW7-H9ppUSri0hPsW3FJKuv4UxA/edit
Proposals may be brief (one paragraph), but do be sure to mention the topic and the key question(s) to be explored. Please submit your proposal by the deadline listed in the call. If interested, please contact In Media Res (inmediares@gsu.edu) with your proposals or for more information about the theme. Be sure to include the name of the theme week you would like to be involved with in the subject line of the email.
Academics, journalists, critics, media professionals, and fans are all welcome to submit proposals.
The actual piece will include a 30-second to 3-minute clip, an image, or a slideshow accopanied by a 300 to 350 word response to/contextualization of your clip, image, or slideshow. In addition to your piece, you will be expected to engage with the other pieces presented that week to encourage discussion and further flesh out the individual topic in relation to the week's theme.
