The NC State History Graduate Student Association (HGSA) invites graduate students to participate in the 2018 Graduate Student History Conference to be held on the campus of North Carolina State University in Raleigh, North Carolina on March 24. The conference provides a welcoming environment for scholarly interaction and professional development for new or experienced scholars and is open to all graduate students in history and related fields. Each presentation will last approximately 15-20 minutes, and each panel will be followed by comments from area faculty as well as general discussion.

 

We welcome all submissions in history, public history, digital humanities, and interdisciplinary fields. We also welcome panel submissions, with panels of three people.

Proposals of no more than 250 words should be sent together with a CV including the applicant’s name, institution, and a sentence listing up to three historical subjects your paper addresses (e.g. American history, intellectual history, gender). Panel submissions should also include a brief description of the panel itself. Please submit at history.ncsu.edu/grad/conference.php by December 1, 2017
