The Canadian Society of Medievalists (CSM) welcomes proposals for papers for its Annual Meeting, 3-5 June 2019 in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, during the Canadian Congress of the Social Sciences and Humanities. The special theme for this year's Congress is "Circles of Conversation," but papers for the CSM's meeting can address any topic on medieval studies, medievalism, or the teaching of medieval topics. Proposals for sessions of three papers are also invited. Presentations may be in either English or French. Bilingual sessions are particularly welcome. For more information on Congress 2019, visit https://www.congress2019.ca.
Proposals should include a one-page abstract and a one-page curriculum vitae. Papers should be no more than 20 minutes' reading time. Propsals for complete sessions should inclue this information in addition to a title and a brief explaination of the session and its format. Please indicate if the proposed session would be suitable as a joint session with another learned society meeting at Congress (Association of Canadian University Teachers of English, Canadian Society for Renaissance Studies, Canadian Historical Association, etc.). Presenters must be CSM members and registered for Congress by the time of their presentation. Please submit proposals for individual papers by December 15, 2018 and proposals for sessions by January 15, 2019 by email to Kathy Cawsey, either by regular email (firstname.lastname@example.org) or via our website's email system (www.canadianmedievalists.org).
