Call for CONFERENCE FELLOWSHIPS: Wandering Objects: Collecting and Interpreting Jewish Things - Raleigh/Chapel Hill, November 11-13, 2018

The North Carolina Museum of Art and the Carolina Center for Jewish Studies at UNC Chapel Hill are pleased to offer a limited number of competitive fellowships for attendance at the conference “Wandering Objects: Collecting and Interpreting Jewish Things” to be held in Raleigh and Chapel Hill on November 11-13, 2018: https://jewishstudies.unc.edu/events/wandering-objects/.

 

Fellowships will be awarded to help cover travel expenses and lodging.

 

 Scholars from an academic or non-profit institutions, professionals, and museum professionals, are eligible to apply. Preference will be given to graduate students, Post Docs, and early career faculty.

 

Winning fellowship recipients will be required to attend the conference in full. Grants may be awarded in full (up to $500) or partially.

 

To apply, please submit the following materials by October 18th.

 

• A letter of application (no more than two pages) discussing your current research, the value to you and your institution of your attending the conference, as well as a brief explanation of your budget.

• Current CV

 

Selection and notification of awardees will be completed by October 25, 2018. All expenses will be reimbursed post-travel. Travel Award recipients must present receipts for reimbursement no later than 30 days after travel.
