EBSCO Publishing, an award-winning U.S. academic publisher (, is producing articles on a broad range of topics for its “Explora for Australia and New Zealand” online database available to students and educators in Australia and New Zealand via academic, school, and public libraries.

We are inviting academic writers (i.e., school librarians welcome!) in Australia and New Zealand to contribute biographies per the Article List below and Guidelines that will be sent upon your inquiry. It is important these be authored by academics in the region rather than counterparts in the elsewhere.

Each article is 1,000 words (except a few at 2,000 noted below), the deadlines are November 15 for the biographies and December 15 for all others, and writers receive a byline as well as a US $50 to $75 honorarium per article.

If you are interested in contributing to this project, the next step is to select which articles below you would like to write, listing the article(s) in the return e-mail to: Please include your CV or brief statement about your background. I will then confirm availability.

Also, please feel free to forward this posting to colleagues you think may be interested in the project. Thank you in advance for your consideration.
