The Rocky Mountain Military Affairs Society presents a free public lecture . . . Cavalry, Critics and Comic Books:  The Forgotten Career of Major Malcolm Wheeler Nicholson, by Dr. Bob Wettemann, Department of History, USAFA.  Dr. Wettemann received his B.A. from Oklahoma State University, and holds graduate degrees from Texas A&M University  with emphases in U.S., Military, and Public History. He was Visiting Professor in the USAFA Department of History from  2007-2009, and was Director of the USAFA Center for Oral History from 2010 to 2016. Before coming to the Air Force Academy, he taught in at McMurry University in Abilene, Texas. He is author of Privilege vs. Equality:  Civil-Military Relations in the Jacksonian Era, 1815-1845 (Praeger Security International, 2009), and numerous articles and book chapters on U.S., military, and public history.
