Deadline Extended to September 20: Call for individual papers, panels, or roundtables. The Association of Global South Studies annual conference will be Nov. 18-20 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The conference is a small gathering of scholars of multiple disciplines dedicated to understanding the politics, economy, history, arts, and ecology of the Global South. Traditionally Africa and Asia have been well represented, although Latin America and the Middle East have become more present in the conference proceedings in recent years. Information on registration, hotel accommodations at The conference, as always, promises to be a stimulating experience, set this year in the beautiful southwest.
