Israiliyat journal (e-ISSN 2645-890X) is pleased to announce that the second annual scholarly International Conference on Israel and Judaism Studies (ICIJS), whose first meeting had been held in Konya in 2017, will be scheduled in Erdek/ Bandırma, Turkey on October 27-29, 2018, Saturday- Monday in hosting and partnership with  Bandirma Onyedi Eylul University.

Deadline for abstract/ full text submission: September 15, 2018; notification of acceptance: one week later submissions; deadline for full text or research article submission: October 15, 2018. 

As an academic conference ICIJS’18 covers multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary approach to the Israel and Judaism studies, incorporating history, politics, sociology, culture, and religion etc. The mission of ICIJS’18 is to provide a platform for academics, students, and researchers from Turkey and all over the world to present their research results in the field of Israel and Judaism studies. The conference provides an opportunity for well-balanced, objective, and bias-free sharing of academic research.

ICIJS’18 also is pleased to announce the annual rewards delivered for the second time for the distinguished dissertations/ theses in the field of Israel and Judaism Studies in the categories of history, politics and religion in both the M.A. and PhD. decrees. Moreover, original and translated books having scientific research methods will also be awarded for the first time.

ICIJS invites university faculty, graduate students, and independent/freelance researchers/ scholars from different world states to participate in its 2018 annual conference.Presentations and panels will be held in both Turkish and English. Since the conference presentations are max. 20 minutes in length, a full text should not exceed six (6) pages (2000 words). It must include (abstract (max. 300 words), keywords, text, figures, tables, citations and references). Turkish abstract is optional. Conference attendees are expected to submit an extended abstract with title, theoretical background, research questions, methodological approach and main hypotheses.
