On behalf of the Rocky Mountain American Studies Association, we are very happy to announce the fall issue of Quarterly Horse (2.2).  Read Creative nonfiction about (and in) the style of Henry James and an essay about eating horses during WWII. Then look through the archives to see some of the work we published last year.

Quarterly Horse is an open-access journal that publishes brief, scholarly essays on American culture, essays that are no more than 1,500 words in length.

Please take a look and let us know what you think:

Then share widely with anybody you think might have something interesting to same about American culture and who, perhaps, has a short attention span.

You’ll find instructions and guidelines for submission at our website: http://www.quarterlyhorse.org/cfp/.
