The Humanities Department at Roehampton University invites expressions of interest from early-career researchers in History intending to apply to the British Academy Postdoctoral Fellowships scheme.
The university’s deadline for expressions of interest is August 10th. Applicants are advised to contact a prospective mentor in advance to discuss their proposals.
The aim of the British Academy in making these awards is to offer opportunities for outstanding early career researchers to strengthen their experience of research and teaching in a university environment. The primary purpose is completion of a significant piece of publishable research, which will be assisted by full membership of an academic community of established scholars working in similar fields. More information about the scheme may be found on the British Academy’s website. Please note that this year’s round is not yet open, so the information and dates have not yet been updated; however, they are expected to remain the same as 2017.
Roehampton is a vibrant and cosmopolitan university located in London’s south-west. We offer a thriving research culture that supports interdisciplinarity and a global outlook. More information about staff and current research in the Humanities Department may be found here.
