Call for 2017 Best Historical Materials Nominations:

Sue McFadden Announcement
Subject Fields
African History / Studies, American History / Studies, Asian History / Studies, European History / Studies, World History / Studies

The Historical Materials Committee of the Reference and User Services Association’s History Section is soliciting nominations for the committee’s annual Best Historical Materials list.  The list consists of the best online historical bibliographies, indexes,  reference, and online products that are created, published, or significantly updated within the past two calendar years, (the 2017 list will consider titles published in 2015 to  2017).

While the H-Net announcement style limits to 5 subjects, the scope of the list is broad. For examples of previous Best Historical Materials winners, please see: http://iue.libguides.com/RUSABest  and then the PDF of the Best from 2011-2016.  The last page of the PDF provides details needed on the nomination page, (minus the abstract details). You may also enter your suggestions on the LibGuide linked above. If you wish the committee to consider a title, please send your nomination(s) to Sue McFadden.

List winners are announced at the American Library Association's Midwinter Meeting in 2018, Denver, CO and a formal article appears in the Spring issue of RUSQ. List winners should be notified by late December 2017

Regards,
Sue.
