A colleague (Scott Ainsworth, UGA) and I are working on a three-volume encyclopedia series, Political Parties, Interest Groups, and Organizations that Shaped America: An Encyclopedia and Document Collection to be published by ABC-CLIO/Greenwood Press in 2018. The series traces the history of parties and groups from the Founding Era through the Civil War, through the Post-War Era, to the present. The entries that comprise the collection are short (1500-2000 words) and usually pretty fun to write (and compensated by the publisher at roughly $25 per essay). All essays must be completed by October 27, 2017 in order to be included in the series. If you are interested, please email me at bharward@allegheny.edu with your email address. I will send to you a list of those entries that remain available.
