PAMLA is currently seeking submissions for the Rhetorical Approaches to Literature panel, a standing session of the annual Pacific Ancient and Modern Language Association conference.  This year’s conference will be held at Western Washington University in Bellingham, Washington, from Friday, 9 November--Sunday, 11 November 2018.

In addition to a wide range of rhetorical literary topics and approaches, special consideration will be given to papers whose focus correlates with the conference's theme:  “Acting, Roles, Stages.” Possible topics and focal points to consider include, but are not limited to, the following: examination of character, narrator or author through the lens of acting and/or role playing; examination of setting, place, and time as stage; analysis of reader as actor and/or role player.
