The Journal of Race and Policy

CALL FOR PAPERS

The Journal of Race and Policy (ISSN 1540-8450) is a peer-reviewed, interdisciplinary forum for the presentation of scholarly research dealing with a wide range of topics including politics, education, employment, healthcare, citizen participation, social welfare, and social justice. Its objectives are to promote intellectual debate, scholarly investigation, and new ideas that focus on the intersection of race and policy in American society and abroad. The Journal, which is published twice annually in the spring/summer and fall/winter, is currently soliciting manuscripts for publication consideration. Research from diverse disciplinary perspectives focusing on the impact of race on social resource allocation, as well as work yielding considered policy-oriented solutions for problems involving race, ethnicity, gender, and diversity are of particular interest. From an international perspective, The Journal seeks critical research and analysis and creative works that advance our knowledge of the juncture of race, foreign policy making, and international affairs. Projects that employ innovative theoretical and methodological approaches are especially encouraged. Articles may be from an academic or practitioner perspective, but should contribute to the general public discourse and the scholarly community, and as such, should propose practical policy approaches.

The article submitted should not exceed 30 double-spaced typewritten pages (12 point font, Times Roman required), and should include a maximum 100 word abstract, three to five keywords, and a brief contributor's biography. E-mail submissions are accepted. The article must be provided in Microsoft Word. Please do not use any automatic features in the article that is submitted (e.g., footnotes, bibliography, runninghead, etc.). Generally, the documentation and stylistic standards of each article must conform to the requirements of the University of Chicago. Further information regarding editorial guidelines and the submission and peer review process can be found at the website of The Journal of Race and Policy located at https://www.odu.edu/al/research/crrdp/journal.
