'Lifework' is a one day symposium exploring the diaristic impulse and wider notions of autobiography in various contemporary art practices. It aims to rethink categories such as the alter-ego, the detail, self-making, the psychical, interiority, narration and the production of subjectivity. Given the failure of the biographical as an interpretative model, why does the diaristic continue to hold our attention, and what would it mean to envisage a small politics of the everyday?

Speakers include: Margaret Iverson, Susan Morris, Teresa Kittler, Ed Krcma, Alistair Rider, Moran Sheleg, Rye Holmboe and Briony Fer.
