Last available places for the 5-10 June 2017 Archival Studies Seminar: The seminar features visits to Rome’s Archivio Segreto Vaticano and the Archivio dell'Arciconfraternita di San Giovanni de’ Fiorentini, as well as special visits to Florentine archives including the Dominican archives of Santa Maria Novella and San Marco, and the Capponi family archive. Lessons will be led by by Marcello Simonetta (the archive of the early Medici and the Strozzi archive), John Henderson (archival research and early modern medicine), Alessio Assonitis (the archive of the Medici Grand Dukes), Nicoletta Baldini (Catasto and Decima), Giuseppe Parigino (financial archives), Sheila Barker (Medici inventories and Guardaroba Medicea), Francesca Funis (Vasari), Julia Vicioso (Confraternities) and Nicholas Brownlees (avvisi and news networks).
