Call for Papers:

In conjunction with the 21st Annual Eugene Scassa Mock Organization of American States Conference and Competition, the ESMOAS Faculty Steering Committee is now accepting papers for our 2nd academic conference, to be held at Texas State University on November 10-11, 2017.  The conference is open to presenters at the undergraduate, graduate, and faculty level.

This year’s theme is “The Cultural Mosaic of the Americas”.  Papers may be presented on any subject regarding the vast diversity of cultures in the Western Hemisphere—history, business/industry, the arts and literature, language, cultural anthropology, archaeology, and religion will all be considered.

Please submit your abstract or formal proposal by July 1, 2017.  Abstracts should be no more than one page in length (250 words).  After approval of your abstract, your full paper (of no more than 25 pages) must be submitted by October 8, 2017 to moascentral@gmail.com.  After that time, you will be assigned a panel and a presentation time.

Publication of papers is currently being negotiated—2016 papers are being published in a single volume through Cambridge University Press.  Though publication of your work is not guaranteed, it is likely.
