One Party, Many Dance Partners" - Texas Political History Conference

The East Texas Historical Association and Tarleton State University invite you to submit paper proposals for the the upcoming Texas Political History Symposium on September 16, 2017.  We welcome submissions on any aspect of Texas Political History.

A complete paper proposal includes the following:

a. Paper Tiitle

b. Complete contact information including name, address, phone number, email address, institutional affiliation, and a one-page vita.  Lay historians may submit a hometown in lieu of institutional affiliation.

c. a brief summary of the paper

d. recommendation for panel

Each paper presented is limited to 20 minutes (about 10 typed pages), with a panel question and answer session to follow.

Papers presented should not have been delivered at a scholarly meeting or published prior to the 2017 Texas Political History Symposium.

Proposals must be received by June 2, 2017

As much as possible, participants in a given session should be from different institutions. Historians from outside Texas, but doing work in Texas-related studies, are encouraged to participate.
